The Story Behind Woof Wellness
Woof Wellness wasn't created in a laboratory or by a large corporation. It was born out of frustration, determination, and one very special dog.
For over 15 years, I have dedicated my life to dog grooming. As an award-winning groomer, I have worked with countless coat types and used almost every professional shampoo and conditioning system available. I trusted the products I was using because they were the industry's favourites.
But then there was Jack.
Jack has struggled with his skin for most of his life. His coat would constantly break, leaving him with thinning patches and areas that simply wouldn't grow back properly. His skin was often dry, irritated and uncomfortable, and despite trying product after product, nothing seemed to make a lasting difference. Every new shampoo promised healthier skin, stronger coats and incredible results, but I was left disappointed time and time again.
As a groomer, it was heartbreaking. I could transform other dogs, but I couldn't help my own.
I spent years searching for an answer. I changed brands, routines and ingredients. I invested thousands of pounds into products that claimed to solve skin problems, only to watch Jack continue to struggle with hair breakage, poor coat quality and bald patches.
Eventually, I reached a point where I simply gave up looking. I accepted that maybe this was just how Jack was.
Then everything changed.
I met Natasha.
Natasha has an incredible background in cosmetic formulation and understands ingredients on a completely different level. Where I saw bottles and marketing claims, she saw formulations, chemistry and how ingredients actually work.
We started talking.
I shared Jack's story, my frustrations, and everything I had experienced over the years as a professional groomer. Together we began asking difficult questions.
Why were so many products relying on thick textures and excessive foam to impress people rather than focusing on what actually benefits the dog's skin?
Why were shampoos packed with unnecessary ingredients when dogs simply didn't need them?
Could we create something different?
Not another shampoo.
A better one.
So we went back to the beginning.
